Mark left the Seacoast area of New Hampshire in October of 1989 with aspirations of "taking over the music business" and becoming a “world renowned” music video director. He soon discovered that directing music videos meant you worked in the film business, not music, so he quickly shifted and built a career in film as an Assistant Director. Mark has been a member of the Director’s Guild of America since 1993. He has worked on the films ”Red-Eye”, "Terminator 3", "Bad Boys II", "Charlie's Angels" and "Being John Malkovich" to name a few.
Mark recently produced the film "The Sensation of Sight" starring David Strathairn, Ian Somerhalder and Daniel Gillies. The film is an off-beat drama about man's search for meaning amidst the ache of despair. "The Sensation of Sight" had it's World Premiere at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
Mark is a partner in a713production, LLC a company where his dream of directing music videos has been realized. He recently produced and directed music videos for the bands “Leaving Eden” and "The Charms". Mark is in discussion with major record labels based in Los Angeles and Nashville to join forces and bring his musical visions to life with recording artists in the two major music capitals in America.
Mark will make his TV Directorial debut in the Spring of 2007 on the pilot, "The Foresome." He has also signed with the Boston based production company, Gravity, LLC as one of their commercial and music video directors.
Mark is looking forward to joining forces with Producer Tracey Becker and Writer-Director Mitchell Ganem to bring their script “Losing Jerry” to life on the big screen in his home state of New Hampshire.
